Our favorite winery is, without a doubt, Boutier Winery, and believe me, we've been to over 50! What makes Boutier so special? Well, it all starts with the owner, Victor. He's absolutely amazing – always fun, incredibly inviting, and genuinely passionate about what he does. You can tell he pours his heart and soul into every aspect of the winery, from the vineyard to the tasting room.
We've actually stayed at the winery for a couple of days at a time since Victor is a Harvest Host. It's such a unique experience to wake up surrounded by the vines, with the peacefulness of the countryside all around. We make it a point to always stop here on our way down to Florida in the fall and again on our way back to Maryland in the spring. It's become a cherished tradition, a little oasis of relaxation in our travels.
One of the things that makes Boutier so special is the wine, of course! Jen enjoys several of the wines, but her absolute favorite is "Hot Flash." It's a delightful blend of Petite Syrah, Malbec, and Shiraz. The flavors are so rich, complex and just dances on your tongue. I'm more of a Cabernet-Merlot kind of guy, so my favorite is "Let the Big Dawg Drink." It's a bold, full-bodied wine with a smooth finish – perfect for sipping anytime.
We never leave Boutier empty-handed. We always buy at least a case of wine to take home with us. It's our way of bringing a little piece of the winery back to our everyday lives. And in addition to the case, we have to buy a BIG 3L bottle as well! It's become a bit of a collector's item for us, and we love sharing it with friends and family.
On our most recent visit, there was a band playing, which added to the already festive atmosphere. Victor, being the thoughtful host that he is, reserved us a table when he knew we were coming. It was such a kind gesture, and it made us feel so welcome and appreciated. We spent the evening listening to music, sipping wine, and enjoying the music.
We just wanted to say thank you to Victor for being so awesome and so welcoming. You've created something truly special at Boutier Winery, and we feel so fortunate to have discovered it. It's always relaxing and enjoyable staying here. We always look forward to our visits and creating new memories. We can't wait to see what the future holds for Boutier Winery, and we're excited to continue being a part of its story. Cheers to Victor!
