We recently had a fantastic overnight stay at Tall Tales Taphouse in Parsonsburg, MD, and it was another memorable Harvest Host experience! For those who aren't familiar, Harvest Hosts is a membership program that allows RVers to stay overnight at unique locations like wineries, breweries, farms, and attractions, instead of traditional campgrounds. It’s a really cool way to support small businesses and have some one-of-a-kind travel experiences.
This trip was extra special because we were traveling with my mom, my brother, and his family. Getting to share these adventures with loved ones always makes them even better. We rolled up to Tall Tales in our RVs, excited to see what the evening had in store. The taphouse itself had a really inviting, laid-back atmosphere. It was the kind of place where you instantly felt comfortable.
After getting settled, we all headed inside for dinner and drinks. The menu had a great selection of pub fare, and everyone found something they loved. Of course, we had to try some of their beers on tap – they had a really nice variety, from IPAs to stouts, something for everyone's taste. But the real star of the show, at least for me, were the orange crushes. If you've never had one, it's a Maryland thing. So refreshing and delicious!
As the evening went on, the atmosphere at Tall Tales picked up. They had karaoke going on, and people were belting out their favorite tunes. Now, my mom is
usually pretty reserved, but after a couple of drinks, she decided to take the stage! She sang "The Unicorn Song" and we all totally enjoyed it! It was hilarious and so much fun to watch her let loose and enjoy herself. That’s definitely a memory we're going to cherish. Everyone was cheering her on. It was one of those spontaneous, joyful moments that just makes a trip unforgettable.
After a night of good food, good drinks, and great company, we all slept soundly in our RVs. Waking up the next morning, we said goodbye to Tall Tales. We were ready for the next leg of our adventure: Cape Charles, VA.
Harvest Hosts locations like Tall Tales Taphouse are such a gem. They offer a unique and personal travel experience that you just can't get at a regular campground.
